Welcome to the comprehensive guide for Mindl. Here you will learn everything you need to know to become a master of the daily Minecraft quiz. Mindl consists of 4 distinct game modes, each testing a different aspect of your game knowledge.
The Test of Knowledge. In this mode, you must identify a specific Minecraft item or block based on text clues alone.
Tip: Don't guess randomly! Read the clue carefully. Does it mention "mining"? It's likely an ore or stone. Does it mention "eating"? It's food.
The Test of Vision. We show you a texture from the game, but extremely zoomed in.
Tip: Pay attention to unique pixel patterns. The "grain" of wood or the "shine" of gold is distinct even when zoomed in.
The Test of Shapes. "Who's that Mob?" - Identify the creature by its shadow.
The Test of Memory. Reverse-engineer a crafting recipe.
Your daily score is calculated based on how quickly you solve the puzzles. High scores help you climb the global leaderboard.
| Attempt Number | Points Awarded |
|---|---|
| 1st Try (Perfect) | 100 Points |
| 2nd Try | 80 Points |
| 3rd Try | 60 Points |
| 4th Try | 40 Points |
| 5th Try (Last Chance) | 20 Points |
| Failed | 0 Points |
Maximum Daily Score: 400 Points (100 per mode).
If you play Mindl every consecutive day, your "Streak" counter increases. If you miss a single day (based on the Midnight UTC+1 reset), your streak resets to 0. Keep the flame alive!
Missed a day? You can go back up to 4 days in the past using the Time Machine widget on the home screen. However, to keep the competition fair, playing past days only awards 50% of the points.
No! You can play as a Guest forever. However, Guests cannot save their scores to the global leaderboard, and if you clear your browser cache, your local history (and streak) will be lost. Creating an account is free and saves your data securely in the cloud.
