Got questions? We have answers. Here is everything you need to know about how Mindl works.
Mindl runs on a global 24-hour cycle. Every day at 00:00 (Midnight) Berlin Time (UTC+1/UTC+2), the system automatically generates a new set of 4 challenges:
The challenges are the same for every player in the world, allowing you to compete with friends without inconsistent results.
Points are awarded based on how many attempts you need to guess the correct answer. The fewer attempts, the higher your score.
| Attempts Used | Points Earned |
|---|---|
| 1 (First Try) | 100 |
| 2 | 80 |
| 3 | 60 |
| 4 | 40 |
| 5 (Last Chance) | 20 |
| Failed | 0 |
The maximum possible score per day is 400 Points (100 x 4 modes). If you achieve a perfect 400 score, you earn a special Purple Star for that day.
If you miss a day, your Daily Streak (the flame icon) will reset to 0. To keep your streak alive, you must complete at least one challenge every consecutive day.
However, you can still play the puzzle! Use the Time Machine widget on the home screen to go back up to 4 days in the past. Playing a past day ("Time Travel") awards 50% of the normal points to preserve competitive fairness for those who played on time.
No. Mindl is 100% free to play. There are no paywalls, no "energy systems," and no pay-to-win mechanics. We are supported by unobtrusive ads.
You can play as a Guest, but your scores and history are saved only in your browser's local storage. If you clear your cache or switch devices (e.g., from phone to PC), you will lose your stats.
